New games at The Lodge, Gilpin

Mississippi Stud is coming soon, exclusively to The Lodge Casino in Black Hawk.

Mississippi Stud is a new five-card poker game that lets players put it all on the line by betting up to 10 units on a single hand.

Mississippi players compete against a paytable rather than the dealer, and win if their hand is a pair of 6s or better.

To play, players make an ante bet to receive their first two cards. The dealer will place three community cards face down in the middle of the layout.

Once they receive their cards, players may either fold or make the 3rd Street bet of one to three times their Ante. The dealer will then reveal the first community card, and players may either fold or make the 4th Street bet of one to three times their Ante. The dealer will then reveal the second community card, and players can either fold or stay in the game by making the 5th Street bet from one to three times their Ante.

After the dealer turns over the final community card, he resolves all bets left in action. Players win if their five-card hand contains a pair of 6’s or better. Try it at The Lodge.

Blackjack Switch

The Gilpin is the only place in Black Hawk to play Blackjack Switch.

Each player plays two hands of blackjack and can choose to “switch” the second card of each hand. Players can also make the optional Super Match bet which is based on their first four cards.

Once each player has made their decision, each hand is completed according to the normal house rules of Blackjack. Come in and try it at The Gilpin.
